Lub Oil Help for Powerwise FRL Unit
Setup Instructions for the FrL used on air motor driven ink pumps and mixers. Once you have you have assembled your mini FRL units into position.(Part number AP 1000.) If you did not order these units from Powerwise, please remember the motor manufacturer recommends that these motors need lubrication. You should set the lubricators to feed one drop of oil every MINUTE. Quote from GAST: “Automatic lubrication: Inline oiler should be adjusted to feed 1 drop per minute for high speed or continuous duty use.” (You will literally have to set these FRL’s by using a stop watch and setting the drops accordingly.) Regarding the oil mist from the muffler.  You should be able to hold your fingers over the muffler for 30 seconds or more and feel a moist residue on your fingers.  If you are seeing a mist coming out of the muffler, then there is too much lubrication!  This can have an adverse effect on the motors!  Once you have got this setting right, you should eliminate any lubrication problems. If any of the motors that have been repaired, give you further problems, you might need Powerwise to look at them for you at our plant in Erie, PA. Without the right tools, people have been known to damage the motors in disassembly or reassembly, and the motors never work as well as they do when new.
